Rooms 2 & 3 have a king size bed plus an extra single bed.  These rooms also have their own bathroom, wardrobe, seating area and look out over the front of the house with a pretty garden with rolling fields beyond.

All the rooms can be set up to have two or three single beds if required.  Contact us for details.

The B&B rooms share an entrance separate from the owner’s house. Please note that the rooms are located on the first floor, accessible via an open staircase.

Around the House:

There is plenty of parking, and we have 20 hectares of land where you can roam around and explore. There are nicely lawned areas, but also wild grassland, forest and even a small natural lake. You can sit under the willow tree at the frog pond and enjoy the wildlife around you: birds (of prey), our two goofy dogs, and maybe even a deer or two.

There is also an area with a barbeque and pizza oven which is shared with the other guests. There are several tables on the shared terrace, where you can join each other for a meal and a glass of wine, or you can use one of our portable bbq’s if you want a more private meal. In the communal dining room we have a pool table, darts and other games for you to use. On the terrain you’ll also find a shared pool, a children’s playground and a sports/playing field.

We do ask everybody to be considerate towards our other guests and keep the noise down as much as possible after 10 pm.

What to do and see around us:

There is lots to do for nature lovers, hikers/bikers, horse riders and families with children. Everywhere you look there is a pretty village with castles, rivers to fish or canoe on (or pan for gold) and hiking paths through the stunning countryside. Or you can just choose to sit in a town square and watch the world go by with a coffee or a glass of wine. Thiviers (15 minutes drive away) has a great market on Saturdays, 4 supermarkets and all other shops you might need. lt is also the capital of ‘foie gras‘ (goose liver). And of course, there are the other local delicacies: truffles, walnuts and wines from the Bordeaux, Cahors or Bergerac regions. Thiviers is also situated on the pilgrim route Santiago de Compostela. Closer to the house there is a village called ‘La Coquille‘ where you’ll find a supermarket, bakery, butchers, and pharmacy. There are plenty of local restaurants and bars, where you can eat a very reasonably priced lunch or why not have dinner in a castle?
